1 billion Facebook users already in summer?

According to the dynamics with which Facebook audience is growing all over the world from 2006 to 2012 year, by august of this year the number of users will reach 1 billion people, says company iCrossing.

The experts noted the linear growth of social networks users since 2006 year. If such a tendency continues so it’s quite probable that their prognosis could be true. Let’s remind that according to the last official data today Facebook audience is more than 800 million active users.

It is remarkable that in the West, in particular in the USA and the United Kingdom, the increase of Facebook audience has slowed down significantly. But in the developing countries is observed the opposite tendency.

A special activity is shown by such countries like India and Brazil. During the last 9 months in India the number of social network users has grown from 22 million to 36 million people and in Brazil from 13 million to 30 million. More than a half of registered users visit the social network every day.

That’s why the increase of Facebook popularity is expected exactly among the residents of developing countries. And the rapid development of mobile internet will just assist it.
